Knygoje daug senų tiesų, kurias visada gerai prisiminti。

Quite some good observations and common sense knowledge put together, but lots of the “advice” is definitely outdated。 It’s amazing to see how issues remain universal, but also how far the science and psychology have advanced our understanding of ‘worry’。 It was interesting to read this out of historical curiosity, but there are modern books who do the job far better。

The best part about reading this book is that I completed it with my Mom & Sister。 I believe a lot of the concepts will stick with me because we discussed it as we went along and got to hear each others perspectives。 It's kept surprising me to remember this was written so long ago。 Dale provides such simple advice that can drastically assist everyone, no matter who they are who what they do。 To really understand that worrying will make you sick is important。 During the reading of this book my da The best part about reading this book is that I completed it with my Mom & Sister。 I believe a lot of the concepts will stick with me because we discussed it as we went along and got to hear each others perspectives。 It's kept surprising me to remember this was written so long ago。 Dale provides such simple advice that can drastically assist everyone, no matter who they are who what they do。 To really understand that worrying will make you sick is important。 During the reading of this book my dad created an ulcer in his body and it really spoke to me cause he worries more than most people I know。 It was solid proof that worrying really does hurt us on many levels。 Highly recommend! 。。。more

4/10 It has really interesting points on how to stop worry and the problems that it may cause to a person。However, it is too long and a person gets bored by reading all the stories。You could only read the nutshell at the end of each chapter that is what we really need。Even though it helped me a lot to stop worrying about everything and I'm less anxious in general! 。。。more

Good Good book。 Feels a bit too lengthy for a self help book when you read it in 2021。 There are too many stories。 But overall it's good。 The book is well structured。 The steps as part of the 'how to' are not something you didn't know before but they work when presented concisely。 Good Good book。 Feels a bit too lengthy for a self help book when you read it in 2021。 There are too many stories。 But overall it's good。 The book is well structured。 The steps as part of the 'how to' are not something you didn't know before but they work when presented concisely。 。。。more

The book is a holy grail when it comes to solving overthinking and worrying problems。 Dale Carnegie has included some time-tested methods and real-life examples of people who have successfully broken out of the self-destructive habit of worrying。 The book serves as a guide to help you live in the present without ruminating about the past or the future。 It needn't be read in one go, rather consumed routinely until the theories mentioned in the book creep into your conscious and subconscious thoug The book is a holy grail when it comes to solving overthinking and worrying problems。 Dale Carnegie has included some time-tested methods and real-life examples of people who have successfully broken out of the self-destructive habit of worrying。 The book serves as a guide to help you live in the present without ruminating about the past or the future。 It needn't be read in one go, rather consumed routinely until the theories mentioned in the book creep into your conscious and subconscious thoughts and those thoughts turn into actions。 I would like to add, parenthetically, that the book could have been more concise, however, is an effective and worthy read。 。。。more

Too many anecdotes in a single book, almost felt like jumping from one to another。 Also, bland。Most actionable points can be found at the end of each chapter, the initial development is redundant。

Surprisingly good book that’s still highly relevant today。 There’s a lot of criticism about the dated references and historical norms that are out of line with today’s, but in order to enjoy this book and get the most out of it, you need to overlook that and look at the main substance, which is not anything new but an amalgamation of advice on how people have dealt with stress over thousands of years。The best piece of advice in this book is to compartmentalize your thinking in terms of today ins Surprisingly good book that’s still highly relevant today。 There’s a lot of criticism about the dated references and historical norms that are out of line with today’s, but in order to enjoy this book and get the most out of it, you need to overlook that and look at the main substance, which is not anything new but an amalgamation of advice on how people have dealt with stress over thousands of years。The best piece of advice in this book is to compartmentalize your thinking in terms of today instead of thinking ahead to things that may never happen, which causes anxiety。 。。。more

5 might be a bit much but it was a fun and easy read but I took a lot from it。 Highly recommend especially if you can get an old ebook version cheap like I did。 Applying the principles is another matter! But having the ideas is a first step。

Take this book with a grain of salt。 It’s a classic; but a lot of it hasn’t aged well。

Dale Carnegie's work is inspiring and this he conveys through his books。 This work of his is yet another piece of work that rests entirely on motivation and inspiration。 With plethora of examples from real life (which according to me is hard to believe) of him, his conveyance of message makes it look real。It is worth a read for ones going through difficult times in life! Encouraging words with a lot of self compassionThe book contains a lot of good stories of real people。 The author references different religions and phylosophies , I agree with most of his opinions except for a few for instance ' ignoring ur enemies ', I believe enemies shud be given especial attention as they are the first to point out ur flaws。 Overall a good read。 Encouraging words with a lot of self compassionThe book contains a lot of good stories of real people。 The author references different religions and phylosophies , I agree with most of his opinions except for a few for instance ' ignoring ur enemies ', I believe enemies shud be given especial attention as they are the first to point out ur flaws。 Overall a good read。 。。。more

I like how the writer started by saying that you won’t find anything new in it but you will find much that is not generally applied, that’s how I see self development books, it is very obvious yet you need to read it again。The book is amazing guide, it states clearly what to do to face worry, you can use it any time and in any situation。Highly recommended。

2,5 ⭐️ - Part of the book was interesting, but there’s some old stuff in there that didn’t connect with me。 There’s too many stories that didn’t feel helpful or interesting。 I wasn’t interested in the God stuff neither。

Rereading this classic book has helped me rethink those steps every human should take when he or she is going through a worrisome period in their lives。 I devoured this book quite greedily except for that part where he talks about about religion and prayer。 It felt as if the author was preaching about Christianity in this book in a very subliminal manner。 I recommend everyone should give this book a try not just because it has some valid suggestions we all could use but that we will have a real Rereading this classic book has helped me rethink those steps every human should take when he or she is going through a worrisome period in their lives。 I devoured this book quite greedily except for that part where he talks about about religion and prayer。 It felt as if the author was preaching about Christianity in this book in a very subliminal manner。 I recommend everyone should give this book a try not just because it has some valid suggestions we all could use but that we will have a realization that people in 1948 went through the same issues some of us have gone through or are going through right now。 I am also reminded that there won't be any "peacetime" for a long period of time。 We have to make plans or device steps to take care of the worries and hardships that come our way。 。。。more
